Shannon Miyazaki

Administrator

Shannon Miyazaki is the Administrator for The Plaza at Moanalua. Previously, Shannon worked for The Plaza at Punchbowl and was promoted into her position as Administrator in 2011.

Born in Seoul, South Korea and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, Miyazaki, a 1998 Regent Scholar, graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a Bachelor of Science in Family Resources, Minor in Biology, and an Undergraduate Certificate in Aging. She began working with seniors as a volunteer in the Therapeutic Recreation Department of Kuakini Health System’s Hale Pulama Mau and was employed as a Recreation Assistant upon graduating from the University of Hawaii.

In 2008, Miyazaki joined The Plaza at Punchbowl team as the Activity Director. Miyazaki was responsible for coordinating and overseeing all of the activity programs and events for the residents of The Plaza at Punchbowl. This included the Assisted Living/Assisted Living Plus Activity Program, Memory Care Activity Program, and One-on-One Visitation Program. In 2011, Miyazaki was promoted to Administrator-in-Training to assist with the opening of The Plaza at Moanalua.
