Vegod Dutt joined The Plaza at Punchbowl following his relocation from the Big Island. Originally from New Zealand, he is a Maori descendant affiliated with the Ngai Tai and Ngati Porou tribes situated on the east coast of the North Island, known for the Whale Rider story in Whanga Ra (“The bay where the sun rises”). With over three decades of experience in community development, Vegod has dedicated over 14 years to the healthcare sector, focusing on mental health, community health, emergency services, and also currently serves as a volunteer Phlebotomist.

Vegod knows how important it is for our residents to have a smooth transition to the Plaza at Punchbowl community and enjoys the warm connection that the residents share.
