Sophia Calio

Activity Director

Sophia Calio is the Activity Director at The Plaza at Moanalua. She ensures that residents have access to a variety of activities seven days a week. She studied Human Development and Family Studies, with a focus on Gerontology, from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2022. Sophia has a background in activity coordination, non-profit industry, grants management, and healthy lifestyle promotion for seniors.

In her free time, Sophia enjoys picking up a book, volunteering, and spending time with her family. Her love for working with seniors stems from her family, as she cared for her grandmother for 2 years. She hopes to carry the love and passion through her work with The Plaza at Moanalua.
